My name is Chris Gehringer, and this is my personal weblog about the Detroit Tigers.  I am 33 years old, and live in Lawrence, KS, with my wife, son and two stepsons.

I started this blog during the magical 2006 season, and the history up to the 2008 season can be found at http://www.navinfield.com/serendipity.  Unfortunately, some scripting problems have caused that site to be, for the most part, unusable.  I am attempting to migrate all the old data over here.

I will mostly write about what happened in Tiger games here, but will add some other input about raising my newborn son and as much as I hope he grows up a Tiger fan, I think I hope more that he just doesn’t become a Yankee fan.  More than that, though, I’m just glad he’s healthy and happy.

There is also a forum at http://www.navinfield.com/blogforum. It can be used by readers of this blog to discuss games as they go on, or anything else related or unrelated to the Detroit Tigers.  I will happen by there from time to time as well.

Since the site moved from serendipity to wordpress, I am having some issues migrating the old stuff over to the new stuff, so I will leave the old site up, either until I can do the migration, or until I decide to just kill the site.  I don’t know which.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy what I put here.  If you don’t, that’s fine too.  I’m not doing this for anything other than for myself at this point, and I am just proud of myself that it is starting to come together.  In the first few months, the site’s look might change often.  That is because I am also learning html and php at this time, and I might test some things here.  Feel free to leave a comment in the forum if there is something you like or don’t like.  I have pretty thick skin when it comes to stuff like this…
